MUP05 - WEB DESIGN FUNDAMENTALS
This course teaches the complete process of Web page design, from the basics of HTML to strategies for designing and building a complete Web site. You begin by exploring the anatomy of a typical Web page, creating a simple HTML page, and learning to work with Web text and graphics. An important emphasis of this course is to teach you sound principles for designing Web sites, which includes creating paper prototypes. The course includes a thorough primer in HTML coding that serves as a solid grounding for use of FrontPage in the last two lessons. You learn to use FrontPage to create a moderately complex home page that you can post to the Web.

This course requires Microsoft FrontPage.
WHEN YOU ARE READY TO BEGIN
Step 1: Ensure your Practice Files are installed on your personal computer.
Step 2: Open the Student Notes File below. You will be required to enter the password given to you on enrolment. Enter the password, being careful to type it exactly as given, as it is case sensitive. You can study online, save the file to your personal computer, or print it - depending on your preferred learning style.

Step 5: Open the Quick Quiz on your personal computer and enter your name in the box provided. Complete your answers and save the document.
Step 6: Click on this email link mvcc@mvcc.org.au to forward your Quick Quiz Answer Sheet as an attachment - don't forget to attach your saved file! Please ensure that you enter a subject heading in the email (Eg. Web Design Fundamentals Quick Quiz 01). We will provide you with feedback upon receipt of each Quick Quiz.
